There’s still time for your young photographer to enter this year’s contest. Kids ages 6 through 14 can enter photos in one or each of four categories (Animals, Scenery, People, and Humor).
The deadline is October 31, 2012. Entries will be judged on creativity and photo quality.
Four first-place winners will win a 16.1-megapixel digital camera, 8GB memory card, a copy of National Geographic Kids Almanac 2013, and more.
All first-place winners will compete internationally for the grand prize: a five-day, four-night trip to Washington, D.C., and a special tour of National Geographic headquarters.
